Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
